The government acknowledged its shortcomings in flood management and apologized to the affected residents. Compensation payments will begin distribution next week. Water levels have started to recede, allowing residents to return to their homes and assess the damage. King Maha Vajiralongkorn will donate 100 million baht to Hat Yai Hospital and provide royal support for the funerals of all victims.
