Description

National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was on The Ed Tyll Show, syndicated on the Starcom Radio Network, on June 13, 2013. This was the first of two interviews on this show that week, as the US Supreme Court was gearing up to make its decision about same sex marriage in both cases of Hollingsworth v. Perry and United States v. Windsor.  Mark Henkel explained how, if the Supreme Court accepts and sets the precedent that laws may not be based on "animous based stereotypes" as were then being argued in the Hollingsworth case, it would equally apply to anti-polygamy laws which are even more "animous based" than laws against same sex marriage.  (HISTORY NOTE: Later, on June 26, 2013, the US Supreme Court instead refused the Hollingsworth case, vacating the lower decision, solely based on a technicality of "legal standing" and not based on the merits of anything argued.)
