recently-passed Students Loans Act 2023, reviewing the act to provide recommendations for the National Assembly based on current realities in our institutions.
We also highlighted the proliferation of sexual harassment of students in tertiary institutions, especially as the perpetrators continue to go scot-free.
We maintain that providing quality education, better students’ welfare and prosecuting abusers will ensure a safe-space for students, and thereby improve their academic performance, as an educated nation is a developed nation.
