In the second episode of The Enlightenment Operatives Podcast host Charles F. Moreland III (music producer and video artist) interviews his wife Babita Shrestha. Babita is a Terai born, Nepali Vegan Chef, Author of "Plant-Based Himalaya: Vegan Recipes From Nepal" and director of the new documentary entitled "Baadal Danda: My Journey to Mardi HImal".  She lives between Pokhara, Nepal and Kentucky, USA. They discuss the process of writing, photographing, styling, designing, illustrating a plant-based cookbook all by yourself, the heritage of Nepali artistry, how the vegan movement has been co-opted and ruined by large corporations/celebrities, and the difference between being an "influencer" verses actually being an influential artist.

Sitting on the Pokhara rooftop next to the Annapurna Mountain range, the conversation shifts from Babita's culinary journey creating the company Vegan Nepal to their trekking trip to Mardi HImal, where Babita filmed and created her first documentary film "Baadal Danda: My Journey to Mardi Himal"
