Our guest this week was Academy Award-winning filmmaker Nani Sahra Walker.
Nani is a graduate of Filmmaker Success and a 2024 Oscar-winner. She executive produced the acclaimed short documentaries "Kylie" (Sundance, 2023), "Merman" (Tribeca, 2023) and "Last Repair Shop" (Telluride, 2023), which won the 2024 Academy Award.

Her upcoming feature narrative film "Shakti " is set in Nepal and backed by the ARRI International Support Program.
Nani is an alum of the Asia Project Market, Cine Qua Non Lab, SFFILM FilmHouse Residency Program and BAFTA. She is an adjunct professor at UC Berkeley’s renowned documentary program and mentors filmmakers at
American Film Showcase and Global Media Makers.
