Back where were I grew up; we ate mostly Root vegetables, nuts and grains. The stable food is Beans, corn, millet & sweet Potatoes. To eat meat or chicken was only on occasion !!! Now that we live in the States, I definitely appreciate my small town roots & appreciate healthy eating a lot more now than I did growing Up. You don't realize how healthy you ate till you come to the US & realize how soooo many people eat very unhealthy food here.
