The Monsanto House of the Future was unlike anything guests to Disneyland had seen before. A glimpse of better days ahead, wrapped and secured inside a plastic shell. For ten years, people from all over queued up to walk the hallways of the House of the Future, marvel at all the time the fancy kitchen would save Mom, and inhale where were surely a lifetimes worth of microplastics. But where did this house design come from? Why was it made entirely of plastic? And where did it go?
