Gerold "Shellbair" is a photographer in the New York area.
Photography sparked Gerold's interest by watching his father capture pictures & record events for friends and family as a child. He enjoys to capture candid images that provoke dialogue & drive emotion. Gerold specializes in events, lifestyle and editorial photography.
Gerold has photographed a wide range of events, companies and people including & not limited to President Barack Obama at the 44th Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C. , the 16th Annual Cape Town International Jazz Festival in South Africa, Curlfest NY, Curlfest Atlanta, professional sporting events, magazine publications, weddings, corporate events, product, maternity & family portraits. Most of all Gerold enjoys capturing pictures that make you relive or feel you are in the moment.
His strong passion for the community started at a young age with his mother who was active in the church, fundraising & family activities which instilled the core values Gerold has today. He is active in the community personally and as a founding director for a nonprofit. Some of their activities include art exhibits & showcase, community building events promoting self love affirmation and preservation.
