- God's Law defines, reveals, and condemns sin in order to point us to Christ (vv. 19-20), aka. the "pedagogical use of the law"
- We are justified by faith alone, apart from works of the Law (vv. 21-30), aka. "sola fide"
- The Law directs Spirit-enabled obedience (v. 31), aka. the "normative use of the law"
