Description

In many of the traditions I’ve studied, the sublime is to be found literally hiding in plain site within every sip of tea, within every flush of the toilet, within every drop of rain, and within every dog walk, to name just a few. To quote Stephen Batchelor, “the mystical does not transcend this world, it saturates it.”

In the season opener of 2020, I reflect on the podcast’s name, the direction of the podcast, and make a key suggestion for your time of winter hibernation.

Show Notes:

Here’s the final episode of last season that I referenced: Winter: The Sacred Portal.

Here’s my Interview with Howard Axelrod for www.meaningoflife.tv. You can find Howard’s book here: The Point of Vanishing, the inspiration for the title of this episode.

I also mentioned Yin 201 with Yoga Journal. Here’s more info on Yin 101 if you are interested.

Lastly, come train with Terry and me! Here’s the full schedule of our upcoming trainings and retreats: yinyogaschool.com
