Description

This is the Christmas episode of the Russian Context Podcast in which we want to put Russia in context again.

General number of Russians who want to live outside the country reached 22% — that’s the highest result since 2013. More than a half of citizens from 18 to 24 years old want to leave Russia forever, again, the highest result for the past 10 years.

In this episode, we spoke to different Russian immigrants, so that in 3 chapters you could get a better understanding why our people choose to depart from the country.

Alina and Yura has moved to Vilnius, Daria and Nika — to Tbilisi. They all have their stories about being pressured or chased by the Russian government. The guys told us about their reasons to leave, how they do abroad and if there is a chance that they will return.
