The Sonic Cafe: Sonic Cafe #211/Broadcasting at 1.21 Gigawatts, Segment 1
Sonic Café… that’s the music of Moon Hooch, so ahh welcome, I’m your host Scott Clark and this is episode 211. This time the Sonic Café cranks it up to 1.21 gigawatts, which is like way powerful. So, to be safe, we ask that you practice a couple of safe listening techniques during this broadcast. First and foremost, do not touch your radio dial, because at 1.21 gigawatts, voltage can arc through your radio at any moment, and with this much power… well let’s just say we wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to you. And second, maintain a safe distance from your radio… just in case the whole thing blows up. Take these simple precautions, and we’ll all have a good time. OK? So yeah, we’ve got a high-voltage music mix lined up from like the last half-century. Listen for AC/DC, Eddie Grant, Captain Beefheart & his Magic Band, Tinariwen, the Wild Bunch and many more. Then later comedian Chris Porter stops by to tell us about his Dad, a wonderful father, who also just happens to be a very bad electrician. All that and of course more, this time, as we try to convince you, in every way imaginable, that we are the most powerful radio program on planet Earth, broadcasting at ahh 1.21 gigawatts, we’re the Sonic Café.
