An honoree of Women’s Achiever Award and Emerging Leader Award-Under 35, Shreya Patel is a model turned filmmaker, actress, mental health advocate, and human rights activist.
Since 2018, she has appeared in Bell Canada’s national mental health awareness campaign “Bell Let’s Talk”, raising visibility and breaking the silence around mental illness and support. She has been recognized by Global Affairs Canada for her mental health activism.
Her directorial debut, the documentary “Girl Up”, about domestic violence and human trafficking has been picked up by the Toronto International Film Festival to partner and showcase the film at the 2019 Civic Action Summit.
She is breaking down mental health stigmas each day and contributed an episode YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS.
