In Part 2 of Markie Williams’ story, she opens up about what happened after she escaped her abuser, and the struggles she faced with her newfound “freedom”. Markie describes the struggle of dealing with her trauma while trying to rebuild her life at the same time. With no support system, Markie had to rely solely on her own will to survive and desire to create a future for herself that was not defined by violence. 

 

In her quest to redefine her future, Markie tells how she stumbled into a new arena that changed the entire course of her life.
