Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has stated that the Russian invasion of Ukraine has "clouded the thoughts" of his staff and players, and he expects the club to be chastised after owner Roman Abramovich was revealed in parliament as having ties to the Russian state last week.
Tuchel acknowledged that the war in Ukraine was "too big" for that and represented a "hard-core reality check" on the freedom and privilege enjoyed by footballers and coaches in the west.
