Description

On today's episode, we're joined by Pete Meyers, co-founder and president-director of the Tompkins County Workers' Center. Tompkins County Workers' Center advocates for, provides resources for and supports workers in the community with any issue they have related to employment. Pete Meyers has a long history of organizing and advocacy work and previously served as a Mentor in a Welfare-to-Work program. His experience with people being kicked off of welfare into minimum wage jobs led Meyers to take lead and create the Living Wage Coalition, advocating for a living wage for all workers.
