Dragon Pilot is a Japanese anime series created and animated by Bones. It’s directed by Hiroshi Kobayashi and Written by Mari Okada. The series currently has 1 season and 12 total episodes and began airing internationally on Netflix in September of 2018.
The series follows Hisone Amakasu, a rookie in the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. Hisone life is forever changed when she is introduced to the concealed “OTF” – Organic Transport Flyer, or dragon, inside of the base. She discovers she is destined to assume the role of a dragon pilot and forms a bond with her dragon vessel, Masotan.
