We know quite a lot about Anne Frank's life from her diary. We know quite a bit about some of her friends, but about many them mentioned in her diary we know relatively little and sometimes almost nothing at all. What happened to them? From survivors we hear the stories, but who tells the stories of those who were (almost) erased? 

Children like Ilse Wagner and her family. Of them, we don't even have a photo. Together with writer Janny van der Molen, the makers: Richard Grootbod and Patty-Lou Middel-Leenheer go in search of the fate of Ilse and her family members in this podcast series. We go back to the places that defined their lives. For this search, the makers travelled the world to speak to the last surviving friends of Ilse and Anne. They searched various archives for information and spoke to witnesses, researchers and experts.
