Dear Nicky I totally relate - a few years ago I had to get all my gifts from thrift shops and I've always made gifts and greeting cards ever since. I have found that everyone loves the personal effort you put into your gift and appreciates it so much more because you put love and individual thought into each one ❤️
BTW, apparently, I will not be able to visit the USA, because my social media history would preclude my entry. That's very ok with me!
I and many, many Australians would object strongly to adding our en̈rolled defence forces to participate in the current USA administration's aggression in South America.
Please don't forget Australia supported the USA in the Vietnam war. which required the conscription of thousands of 19--years olds +.
