Donald Trump gets impatient with Putin and brings forward penalties on India, one of the country's main importers of crude. Eric Priante Martin reports on the response from the tanker companies, which have begun reporting their first-half results.
Host Craig Eason has been talking to Interferry head of regulatory affairs Johan Roos.
Interferry said something has to be done to prevent all of shipping needing to pay twice for CO2 emissions, as there will be both the international rules and the European rules, which will lead to shipping having to pay into funds. Roos tells Craig the answer is to take shipping out of the European ETS.
TradeWinds has reported previously that African states are looking to emulate Europe with regional emissions trading schemes.
