Description

Thousands of students across the country are stuck in lockdown in their halls of residence as the virus surges in the undergraduate population, and asking whether this is worth £9,000 a year.

Daniel Zeichner MP for Cambridge, tells Bloomberg Westminster's Sebastian Salek and Roger Hearing the crisis was completely predictable, and universities have had to come up with innovative solutions because the government didn't provide an adequate test and trace system.

David Bell, vice-chancellor of Sunderland University, joins to discuss how students are coping and what university authorities can do to help them, and avoid further major outbreaks.
