The anti-impeachment Democrat was a party favorite hand-picked by political power broker George Norcross. Van Drew's decision to leave the Dem party highlights a flaw in the Democrat's strategy of running centrists to win over Trump voters: politicians can't be trusted. The Democrat's who propped Van Drew up over his primary opponent are left with egg on their face, and they deserve it.
