Five students from the Verde Leaders program embarked on an exciting journey to New York City, part of the Verde Futures: Leadership in Motion initiative. This trip, backed by Major League Soccer and POWERADE, aimed to showcase diverse career paths in sports. The students visited MLS headquarters, New York City FC, and POWERADE, engaging in Classroom to Career sessions and Career in Sports chats. They also played on a mini-pitch with other young leaders and explored iconic New York landmarks. Miguel, an eighth grader, highlighted the trips impact, revealing new perspectives on future possibilities in the sports world.
