Entering the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, he was twelve points behind Lando Norris, who ultimately won the title. Verstappen, who had a less competitive car for most of the season, managed to win six of the nine Grand Prix races after significant upgrades at Monza. He praised his teams positive energy and confidence, and expressed feeling better now than at the same time last year.
