Volunteers Sort 10K Stuffed Animals for Christmas Bureau
Update: 2025-12-09
Description
Volunteers at the Christmas Bureau were busy this week, unboxing new toys, assembling displays, and sorting donated pajamas. A record-setting nine thousand eighty-seven stuffed animals from the Spokane Chiefs’ annual Teddy Bear Toss arrived, requiring a massive sorting effort. More than a dozen Gonzaga Prep students and other groups helped, bringing the year-to-date total to one hundred thirty-four thousand one hundred five dollars and fifty-three cents. The bureau is working hard to reach its six hundred thousand dollar goal before the holidays.
