WSU's Epic Bowl Win, Farewell to an Era
Update: 2025-12-22
Description
Washington State Cougars secured their first bowl win in seven years with a thrilling 34-21 victory over Utah State in the Idaho Potato Bowl. Quarterback Zevi Eckhaus had a mixed performance, throwing three TDs and three interceptions, but his best throw ever, a chefs kiss under the Boise sky, highlighted the game. The Cougars offense shone, rushing for 253 yards, their best of the season, with Maxwell Woods and Julian Dugger making significant contributions. Eckhaus connected with three different receivers for scores, including a 39-yard bomb to Landon Wright. Tight end Hudson Cedarland, who nearly quit football earlier this year, caught a touchdown. The defense also played well, with Matthew Durrance grabbing a key interception, though they lost Tucker Large to a knee injury. Utah State managed late scores, but couldnt catch up. The win marked the end of an era for the Cougars, with many players graduating and coaches departing. Checkout Solipillow.com
