This past weekend, immigration officials were scheduled to begin arresting and deporting thousands of undocumented immigrants who had been ordered to leave the United States but had remained. On Friday evening, we spoke to one woman who feared she was on the list. As sympathetic as this woman sounds, economic migrants do not have the right to tell the US that they must be allowed reside here. That right belongs only to US citizens, collectively, as conveyed through our laws. Furthermore, we can't decide to obey only the laws we like and ignore those we don't. If we only obey the laws we like, it will destroy the social compact that makes our democracy work.

immigration courts should be where the money goes not walls this way immigration cases can be heard out properly so we can help refugees live and thrive as it is their human right

this was a heartbreaking interview. also, what she did is illegal. I dont have answers. what's happening now is not the answer. open borders are not the answer. these poor people but the answers are very hard. it's just a total mess.
