Paul takes us through some obedience training. God’s desire is that as our relationship with Him deepens, that we would develop a heart that obeys because we love and trust God; this honors God. Our ability to honor God is not limited to our relationship God, it extends to our other relationships as well. We can’t honor God while being dishonoring in other relationships. Paul is going to direct our hearts as he teaches us how to honor God by honoring those we have significant relationships with.
