How to Make an Airplane Cocktail
The original recipe calls for 3/4 ounce of each ingredient, shaken and served in a chilled coupe glass.
- ¾ oz Bourbon (a mid-shelf, 90-proof spirit like Bulleit or Woodford Reserve is recommended)
- ¾ oz Aperol (an Italian bitter aperitif)
- ¾ oz Amaro Nonino Quintessentia (a specific Italian herbal liqueur that is key to the drink's flavor profile; substitutions will change the taste)
- ¾ oz Freshly squeezed lemon juice
