We've got time 1: Priorities - Mark 1:29-39
Description
I hear stories from my grandparents about a day when life was simpler. Wash day was on Tuesdays, Saturday’s they drive into town for shopping, it took hours to travel by horse, and Sunday was a social day to go to church and share lunch with friends and family. I also love how my grandparents always have time for tea and coffee and biscuits.
Life today feels so busy and complicated, there are so many appointments, so much is happening all the time and everything just feels like it’s going faster and faster and faster. This week we are beginning a new sermon series on time. Over the next 5 weeks I want to explore with you how we use the time we have been given in a healthy way. Because the reality is that we haven’t run out of time, we still have 24 hours in every day.
What would it look like for us to take back all our time? To say yes to the things that are important and no to the things we need to say no to. What if we were to embrace the busyness and make sure that it’s a healthy kind of busy?
