ATF Eases NFA Form Process by Removing CLEO Notification Requirement





The ATF is proposing changes to the NFA Form 1 that include the removal of the local chief law enforcement officer notification requirement, as well as several modifications to simplify the form and address updated regulations. These changes aim to streamline the process for individuals and manufacturers making items like suppressors, potentially leading to increased applications and demand in the gun community once the $200 tax stamp is eliminated. Public comments will be accepted for 30 days before the changes take effect.
