In this episode, Charley and Alec take a brief look at the beginning of 2 Samuel. As David steps into power, things begin to look drastically different than they have before. However, this also begins a difficult portion of reading for us who are so far removed from this point in history. This episode serves as an overview of the next few books, trying to make sense of what feels like a foreign and insignificant portion of Scripture. Though it can be confusing, it is worth working to understand how the biblical authors viewed this point in their history.
