Week in Review: Oliver Stone's 'RFK: Legacy' Is a Father-Son Story
Description

JFK Facts was on the road over the past week, and this week’s newsletter will catch you up on our recent multimedia posts. We hope you are clicking, watching and listening to the video and audio at the links below.
We’re working on more investigations based on newly released documents relating to the JFK assassination, as well as seeking additional documents that have not yet been fully declassified by government agencies and the National Archives (NARA).
If you have made discoveries in the documents you can find here (NARA site) or searchable here (Mary Ferrell Foundation), send us an email at editor@jfkfacts.com with your story suggestions.
New Robert Kennedy Documentary Debuts
Chad Nagle reported on the new documentary about Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, which was directed by Sean Stone, the son of Oliver Stone, the award-winning director/producer and auteur behind the landmark film “JFK” (1991). Oliver Stone is a producer on “RFK: Legacy,” which centers on the memories and impressions of the assassinated senator’s son and namesake, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Note: The documentary is currently available only on the Angel streaming service.
Sean Stone spoke with the Washington Examiner about what he calls “a father-son story.” Father and son Stone appeared together on Piers Morgan’s show, speaking about the continuing impact of the assassinations of the 1960s.
In other documentary news: Directors Laura Poitras and Mark Obenhaus have profiled legendary journalist Seymour Hersh for their documentary “Cover-Up,” which chronicles his storied career as an investigative reporter. JFK Facts’ Ryan Carter wrote about the film, which is currently being shown on the festival circuit and has received raves from the Hollywood Reporter and Deadline. Poitras, who directed the Oscar-winning “Citizenfour” (2014), is a treasured friend and former colleague of mine, so I’m looking forward to seeing it on a big or small screen soon.
