What’s Love got to do with it?
Love is Action!
1st John 3:14 (NIV) 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death.
Does Love require us to do anything?
Love is what makes us different!

Love is not what you say! Love is what you do!
Love is…and will always be the answer!

1. Love is what you do!
1st Corinthians 13:1-4a,6b-7 (NIV) 1 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient, love is kind. 6b but rejoices with the truth.7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Romans 5:8 (NIV) 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Philippians 2:7-8 7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, 8 he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.

Romans 12:9-11 (NIV) 9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
Love is Contagious!
*Paul tells us that love must be ________ and we must be ________ to one another in love!

2. Love is what you don’t do!
Isaiah 53:7 (NIV) 25 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.
1st Corinthians 13:4b-5,6a,8 (NIV) 4b it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6a Love does not delight in evil. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues,
they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
Philippians 2:3-4 3 Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
Romans 12:14 ,16b-17,19a,21 (NIV) 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 16bDo not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. 17a Do not repay anyone evil for evil. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
1st Corinthians 13:13 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
When Jesus was sent to be ___________, He ______ ______ say a word!
