Welcome to another Nature talks episode THIS NATURE TALK WE ARE WITH KATIE & ERFAN FIROUZI!
An academic award-winning evolutionary biologist studying the adaptations of Southern Ocean Penguins to extreme and rapidly changing environments as part of the 2020 NERC GW4+ DTP cohort. Expertise in areas such as population genetics, bioinformatics, data analysis, evolutionary ecology, and programming. Currently working on a multidisciplinary project with aspects of wildlife parasitology, climate change biology, and transcriptomics.
Ph.D. tutor at The Brilliant Club for the South-West region. Teaching maths and biology to students with the aim of widening access to university for students from underrepresented groups.
