Asteroids were at one time called the vermin of the sky. Today we think they could hold secrets to the beginning of the Solar System, the source of water and organics on Earth, and even act as filling stations for future space travelers. All along the way, the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory has been a pioneer in the discovery and study of these important members of the solar family.
