Fascinating story, really well told, brilliant podcast. Totally gripping. And an interesting insight into silicon valley culture/mind set. Also interesting how some felt particularly disappointed that Elizabeth Holmes was a WOMAN who behaved this way. Why so? Are women to be held to a different standard to men? Are they not allowed to also be narcissists, bullies, manipulators, fraudsters like anyone else? It seems that part of the problem was how people sooooo wanted a WOMAN to be A successful entrepreneur and leader, particularly a young one, that it blinded them to the reality of what she was doing. Just being female was enough to give people what they wanted, they focused so much in the shiny surface of things, they didn't see the lack of content behind it.

Ugh the take on this podcast is horrible. She was just an overly ambitious person who accidentally got in over her head and fooled "smart" people like Betsy DeVos??? Nothing about her life of privilege, nothing about her father's connection with Enron, nothing about these vulture corporations pulling this shit regularly? She's just a scammer like the rest.

Autumn Hutchins I haven't listen till the end but so far, the problem is only this particular women who is mentally sick or just arrogant not the hole culture around silicon valley. all companies do sth similar to succeed and it doesn't matter if will kill or damages ppl's lives along the way.

what bothers me the most is, how is she just going about her life like nothing happened. She's about to get married? Are you freaking kidding me? This didn't even affect me and I'm super pissed...

CJ This is the perfect example of investors acting like lemmings. They literally followed each other off a cliff on this one hahaha

CJ crazy story. It made me wonder how many so-call changemakers are just as horrible as #ElizabethHolmes . Ivy league schools + a silver tongue + a charming face = millions and millions dollars from no-time-for-investigating investors.

How was she really smart? What did she do besides drop out of college, and learn Mandarin? How could so many people not ask, what have you done? Show me something.
