Description

2022 witnessed yet another spate of mass shootings. In 2022, students and teachers lost their lives in Uvalde, shoppers in Buffalo fell victim of a shooter, and patrons and bartenders of an LGBTQ+ club in Colorado Springs were the target of a lone shooter. These were just a few of the more than 600 mass shootings last year.

How do we understand this violence? And are there possible preventive solutions? Journalist Mark Follman joins us to think through those questions.

Mark Follman is the national affairs editor at Mother Jones and author of Trigger Points: Inside the Mission to Stop Mass Shootings in America.
