What is a worldview and why is it important? A worldview is “The overall perspective from which one sees and interprets the world” (American Heritage Dictionary). A worldview is like a pair of glasses. It is something you look through, not something you look at. The Structure of Scientific Revolutions by Thomas S. Kuhn popularized the idea of the paradigm. I conceive of the paradigm as a subset of a worldview. In other words, the worldview is made of paradigm, which are in turn made of belief clusters, which are in turn made of beliefs.
