Description

Every minute, 20 people are newly displaced by climate change, economic crisis and political instability, according to the UNHCR. How can we help them overcome the barriers to starting new lives? TED Resident Muhammed Idris is leading a team of technologists, researchers and refugees to develop Atar, the first-ever AI-powered virtual advocate that guides displaced people through resettlement, helping restore their rights and dignity. "Getting access to the right resources and information can be the difference between life and death," Idris says.

we often focus on how to help refugees when they leave their country but not stopping what causes them to move. We are able to prevent such situation in our country, not only stop, but even prevent it. why don't we rather help them stop their troubles and eventually prevent them?

aram Esmaeely That is right, but countries are also bound to follow other laws, international or domestic. they also sign treaties like never commiting genocide and we both know countries tend to break them. For instance, being from Iran, you might be aware of possible genocide on Kurds in the Middle east and instead of getting to a resolution there we are withdrawing from the fight

Adam Bočev I live in Iran and I studied International law.you should know that under the International Law, other countries can not change any rule in other places. As long as government want to put pressure on people, they do what they do. Unfortunately.
