Why are there so many accidents on Quebec's Highway 50?
Update: 2025-12-18
Description
Highway 50, north of Montreal, a road many drivers refer to as the “highway of hell”, it stretches from Gatineau to northwest of Montreal. Just last week, a head-on collision involving a heavy truck claimed the life of a 28-year-old man on Highway 50 near Mirabel, in the Laurentians, once again raising serious concerns about safety on this stretch of road. André Durocher, Director of Community Relations and Road Safety at CAA-Québec, spoke to Andrew Carter.
