The Acolyte is not being renewed and the fandom has gone to war, AGAIN, this time about whether or not The Acolyte deserved the axe, and a small group of younger fans are not taking this very well at all.


Comic book fandom has come a long way since its inception almost 100 years ago. No longer marketed predominantly to children, adults with their own money are now the main targeted audience. And thanks to Hollywood, a large new demographic of fans has emerged with interests ranging from obsessive fanatic to casual, or what we now call "normies". This mainstream attention has changed the landscape for much of the comic fandom creating a divide where once a shelter for all "nerds" existed.
And with the tendrils of A.I. worming its way into our everyday lives from grocery lists to writing scripts, unemployed football player Colin Kaepernick introduces LUMI. An A.I. Startup "Comic Generator" with software meant to "fill in the gaps" where creators lack. Offering A.I. generated illustration to structure to even writing, LUMI claims to make it far easier for anyone to create and publish their own comic books.
