Merging shoegaze, rock, acoustic, singer songwriter and indie vibes into new and interesting sounds. Will's first ever single went straight on BBC Introducing with his song 'In The Winter Sun'' and he's had both local and regional radio support in the UK, as well as an established local and internet fan base.
Will's main influences are John Mayer, Tom Misch, Iron and Wine, Minus The Bear, Foals, Jack Johnson and Turnover. Will likes to write in a range of genres including indie, jazz, acoustic, soul and shoegaze, but his fans often communicate that his tracks are 'chilled' and 'good vibes'. Will since had extensive support from renowned blogs like Yack! Magazine, Picky Magazine, Obscure Sound, welovethat.de, Lately.FM, BIRP FM and Caesar Live 'n' Loud.
Will Newman is really gaining some traction now as a singer-songwriter, but more importantly as a multi-instrumentalist who takes big inspiration from his influences of John Mayer, Tom Misch and Iron and Wine. Sand hit #32 when it debuted in the iTunes UK singer-songwriter charts, and has had a great reception with tracks like 'Bite My Lip'. Will is firmly marking his name as one that is hard to put into a genre, but instead one that stands exceptionally on its own with his own sound amongst his wide range of influences.
