This past summer, the beach remained closed on Sunday mornings based on a Judge’s ruling in June, and the ball was then tossed to the NJ DEP.
The DEP Commissioner was supposed to make a final decision this month regarding this controversial issue. But that ruling has been put off until Dec. 26. when the DEP will rule.
The New Jersey Office of the Attorney General has urged the DEP to reject the Judge’s ruling backing the Camp Meeting’s traditional Sunday tradition.
