The Pamir Plateau, where many of Asia's major mountain ranges converge, is known as the roof of the Asian continent and is home to generations of Kyrgyz herders.

Xinjiang is a beautiful and distant place, an ancient and mysterious region in people's minds. For thousands of years, colourful cultures from all over the world have converged here along the Silk Road, growing, alternating and merging, and then spreading further afield. The vast and rich geography, mottled and colourful cultural traditions, diverse lifestyles, and pluralistic ethnicities and religions have been deposited in this ancient land, but they have also been integrated into the trend of modernisation in today's changing society. What does Xinjiang look like now? And how do the people there live? Through carefully screened stories of real people, the film will break through traditional perspectives and look for the intersection of nature and humanity, history and reality in Xinjiang from a vivid and delicate point of view, telling viewers about an objective and real Xinjiang.
