Your Thoughts Are a Source of Oppression and Empowerment | ✨ A Course in Miracles
Description
"I have no neutral thoughts." – A Course in Miracles Workbook, Lesson 16
What if every thought you have contributes either to truth or illusion, love or fear, oppression or empowerment?
This lesson invites us to reflect on the power of our thoughts and recognize that none of them are neutral. Each thought shapes our perception of reality, extending either love or reinforcing illusions.
In this episode of Love & Learn, we dive into Lesson 16 from A Course in Miracles Workbook, exploring how becoming aware of our thoughts can empower us to choose love and release the grip of fear.
This Lesson's Practice:
- Observe Your Thoughts: Spend a minute with your eyes closed, letting thoughts arise naturally. Identify the central theme or person of each thought and say:
- “This thought about [specific thought] is not a neutral thought.”
- Name the Impact: Notice how the thought influences your emotions or perceptions. Acknowledge its power without judgment, and bring awareness to whether it stems from love or fear.
- Repeat Throughout the Day: Use this practice whenever you notice a thought that creates unease, applying the mantra:
- “This thought about [specific thought] is not a neutral thought because I have no neutral thoughts.”
Key Insights on Lesson 16:
- Thoughts Are Never Neutral: Every thought either extends love or contributes to illusion. Recognizing this helps us take responsibility for the energy we bring into the world.
- Truth vs. Illusion: Thoughts rooted in truth align with love and peace, while fear-based thoughts perpetuate illusions. Becoming aware of this distinction empowers us to choose differently.
- Awareness Brings Healing: The first step to transformation is awareness. By noticing the thoughts we habitually hold, we create space to release fear and reconnect with love.
This lesson reminds us of the profound impact our thoughts have on shaping our inner and outer worlds. It’s a call to examine the mental stories we tell ourselves and begin shifting them toward truth and love.
