Zachary 'Zack' Taylor, the first Black Ranger of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, is an upbeat and easygoing individual. As a student at Angel Grove High School, Zack makes close friends with Jason, Billy, Trini, and Kimberly. Known for his pranks and love of holidays like Halloween, Zack has a fear of bugs and snakes. When Rita Repulsa threatens Earth, Zack is chosen by Zordon to become the Black Mighty Morphin Power Ranger, controlling the Mastodon Power Coin and Dinozord. During the first season, Zack pursues Angela, a fellow schoolmate, and eventually wins her affection.
