They're ripping on conservative principles and what exactly do we do in a crisis? Enact conservative principles by removing regulations, let private industry help, and cut frugal spending. The government is too big, it's so big its no longer accountable because you can always point to someone else who should have taken care of something. When will people learn to rely on themselves? When will they learn big brother is not going to save you?

universal basic income is a preposterous idea. It's extremely expensive. This idea of giving households money while we're on lockdown isn't dissimilar to universal basic income, but it's definitely not the same thing. This is a one-time emergency measure.

When y'all talked about young ppl at crowded bars celebrating St Pat's Day & Spring Brk, I cried bc that is literally my son. You said we should yell at our kids to get their shit together, but my kid & his wife are 26yo gym rats & THEY AREN'T LISTENING. "We're young & healthy; we won't get it, Mom. And we're avoiding old ppl & sick ppl." What can I do?
