Are Masculine words

Ο άνθρωπος=the human

ο αθλητής=the athlete

ο ελέφαντας=the elephant

ο άνθρωπος είναι καλός=the human is good

ο αθλητής είναι καλός=the athlete is good

ο ελέφαντας είναι μεγάλος=the elephant is big

Words that end in:

                                  -η

                                  -α

Are feminine words 

Η θάλασσα=the sea

Η ζωή=the life

Η θάλασσα είναι όμορφη=the sea is beautiful

Η ζωή είναι όμορφη=the life is beautiful

Όμορφος-όμορφη-όμορφο=beautiful

Neutral

Words that end in –ι

                                  -ο

                                  -μα

Are neutral words

Το σπίτι=the house

Το κινητό=the mobile phone

Το πρόβλημα=the problem

Το σπίτι είναι μεγάλο=the house is big

Το σπίτι είναι μικρό=the house is small

Το σπίτι είναι μικρό και όμορφο=the house is small and beautiful

Το κινητό είναι παλιό=the mobile phone is old

Το κινητό μου είναι παλιό=the mobile phone of mine is old

To πρόβλημα είναι μεγάλο=the problem is big
