Bhutan News Service
An all-volunteer run news portal, www.bhutannewsservice.com is a subsidiary of Bhutan Media Society (BMS), a non-profit entity based in the United States with 501(c)(3) tax exemption status. This news site was informally founded in 2004 by a small group of Bhutanese refugee youths, then residing in refugee camps in Nepal after the expulsion of their families from Bhutan. They believed that journalism was a noble means by which to keep the community informed & continue advocating the refugee issue.

The Dragon's Gift: The Sacred Arts of Bhutan exhibition is on view at the Asian Art Museum from February 20, 2009 – May 10, 2009. The first exhibition of its kind, The Dragon's Gift provided an exceptionally rare opportunity to view some of the most sacred and beloved Buddhist arts in Bhutan. Many of the 150 objects – intricate paintings, sculptures, textiles, and more – are still used in temple and monastery rituals and never have been accessible to a Western audience. Also, Bhutan, Nepal, Thailand, Brazil, etc. In this series, William attempts to encapsulate and convey what he feels to be most important in his 50 plus years of direct experience on the path of Awakening.
